An underground, homegrown choro night.
Fernanda Silveira leads a weekly Choro jam in the front room of Barbès with Regional Samauma and special guests. It is a casual affair featuring virtuoso musicians. Fernanda Silveira is a cavaquinho player specializing in Brazilian choro and traditional samba. A disciple of Luciana Rabello, she has performed with numerous acclaimed artists including Maurício Carrilho, Yamandu Costa, and Nailor Proveta.
