Nicola Benedetti Plays Mendelssohn
A nostalgic classical night.
Scottish violinist Nicola Benedetti joins the Los Angeles Philharmonic for an all-Mendelssohn program featuring his celebrated Violin Concerto. Known for her expressive depth, Benedetti is accompanied by the Principal Conductor of the Scottish Chamber Orchestra. The evening also includes Mendelssohn's Third Symphony, a work inspired by the rugged landscapes of Scotland that transitions from brooding mystery to triumph, and the evocative Calm Sea and Prosperous Voyage.
