The Backdoor Society

Steeped in a wealth of songs graced by a myriad of records cut by groups operating mainly around the mid-sixties era and whose hearts and minds beat to a garage rock'n'roll and folk-punk persuasion, these here my friends are the Backdoor Society, from Piacenza, Italy Let us not forget the charming, deathless Dutch beat groups for whom we-a growing coterie of fanatics now circling the world, including the members of this musical 'Society and I myself - hold dear to our hearts. For deep within such sounds as presented here, informed and infused by the wayward strands that encompass teenage rock'n'roll, rhythm & blues, garage punk beat and early forms of the psychedelic all down through the years, are the very bones which lay firm the foundations which fuel this group's motor; a spirit which puts in place the necessary drive, emotion, desire and conviction to make itself evident throughout a clutch of songs (among them 'Story No. 2', 'Lost', the truly forlorn 'Pitch Me Out' and 'Better Than Me') which Giovanni, Simone, Denis and Andrea have selected for us, their audience, to hear in their first exciting ellpee collection. I hope you will now join me in putting aside whatever tasks you may have at hand, let the needle drop on the wax and turn up the volume dial on your music machine to experience this new maximum beat sound!
