Julien Wagner was born and raised in Switzerland. He began his film career as an actor, guest-starring in the Swiss Tv-Show Best Friends. Finding passion on stage and in front of the camera, he moved to LA to pursue a career as an actor. Inspired by his experience bringing characters to life at the Lee Strasberg Theatre & Film Institute, he decided to pursue a career as a screenwriter. Wagner worked for Constantin Film in Munich for a while before eventually moving back to Switzerland to start his own production company. In addition to his law studies at the University of Basel, he continues working as a writer with multiple projects in the pipeline.
Julien Wagner is a Swiss-born writer and director who transitioned into filmmaking after a background in acting and study at the Lee Strasberg Theatre & Film Institute.
He is primarily known for directing and writing independent projects such as the drama Quarantine and the 2024 release September Babies.
