See Jason's review.This is an aggressively juvenile, stupid piece of garbage that barely delivers on action. However, the fact that it was shot in Greece gives it enough of an X factor to make it a fun one time watch... if you have the right sensibilities. You know how a lot of HK movies feel like they were making it up as they went along and/or shooting things just based on what was available to them? You REALLY feel that when they make a movie in a foreign location.There's a minutes long sequence of the camera panning across topless beach goers as our heroes endlessly give their insipid, obnoxious thoughts via voiceover. It ends with this beautiful exchange:Robin Shou: "Great, I've never seen so many busts before. Where's Climax (Conan Lee)?"Simon Yam: "watching busts."

This Hong Kong actioner from co-stars/co-directors Phillip Ko Fei(KILLER'S ROMANCE,TECHNO WARRIORS) and Luk Chuen has Simon Yam(BULLET IN THE HEAD,MAN OF TAI CHI),Conan Lee(ELIMINATORS[1985],TIGER ON THE BEAT),and Ko Fei as the title trio of police detectives that are slamming down criminal activity around town as they're in pursuit of a criminal ring that is runned by crooked businessmen Chuen and Robin Shou(TIGER CAGE 2,MORTAL KOMBAT). THE CYPRUS TIGERS features as much of its share of martial arts showdowns and shootouts as it does in properly developing the film's characters with Yam being the serious guy in the trio while Lee is pretty much the loose cannon who's bent on enforcing justice upon the bad guys,which pretty much helps make THE CYPRUS TIGERS such a enjoyably watchable film. With Joey Wang(CITY HUNTER,GREEN SNAKE) and Sophia Crawford(BEAUTY INVESTIGATOR,DEMON HUNTER).
