there are some fantastic threads here about pregnancy as body-horror and heteronormative pressures upon queer peoples' bodies, but they never really tie together in the end. what's promised as a pseudo-riff on julia ducorneau's raw and titane instead veers off course into the territories of get out and rosemary's baby. a shame to waste such promise on modern "elevated horror" clichés🫠
