A love letter to my old neighborhood and an unflinching portrait of a type of guy we all know (or have been at one point or another); talented but creatively unfulfilled, hamstrung by his neuroses, not getting any younger, afraid he may be alone forever… relatable! So many wonderful details — I immediately knew which floral shop a bouquet in the film came from. Talented ensemble, beautifully shot, featuring a great central performance by Greg. Very proud of this guy. If you’ve ever started the night at El Condor, found yourself unexpectedly at Jumbo’s with new friends, ripped cigs out front, shared takeout in an Uber, and gone to bed alone … this one’s for you.
