Sia: Nostalgic for the Present

Having seen the live version of this in 2017 in a stadium, I have maintained since that the venue was not appropriate at all for the this type of show. Happy to be proven right almost 10 yrs later. This essentially the entire show which was Sia standing in the background whilst Maddy Ziegler and the rest of the cast perform the songs (with post production of crowd noises added in too?)Side note: Shannon Murphy cast Ben Mendelsohn in Babyteeth partly because of his moving performance here during Breathe Me, so at least we have that

i cannot believe how emotional this got me. i saw this concert live when i was a kid, having begged my dad to travel interstate for it. i remember the feelings i felt then, watching an artist i’d admired for a Long time perform right in front of my eyes. i felt those feelings tenfold seeing this in the cinema a decade later. i don’t support her actions in recent years, but i can’t deny the impact she’s had on me as i’ve grown up. wow. 🖤🤍
