This adorable behind-the-scenes look at four ambitious young girls striving to become top-selling “Cookie Queens” is lighthearted and endlessly charming. It doesn’t venture into dark territory or uncover any earth-shattering truths about the $800 million industry, but you’ll be hard-pressed to find a more purely joyful documentary about entrepreneurship this year. A rare case where I’m feeling hopeful about the future for a change, and it’s mostly because these are the girls who will be leading the way.

The documentary provides an intimate, observational look at a six-week period during which the over 100-year-old Girl Scout Cookie Program generates approximately $800 million in revenue. Rather than an exposé, the film serves as a character-driven "coming-of-age" story that examines the intersection of childhood innocence and cutthroat entrepreneurial ambition. It is a fun and highly entertaining look at the Girl Scout's Cookie program. It doesn't stir many pots or create lots of controversies, but...that's okay...Except in the way the Girl Scout's Organization has figured out to make money at the expense of the sellers.What makes it work are the little girls. They come from many different backgrounds and their family units are quite tender. It is funny and moving.All are engaging, but little Ara is a STAR!Good movie for the whole family.
