This movie had every thing you could want in a true indie horror film. Slasher vibes, comedic moments, emotional depth, character development & just across the board talent executing these characters &bringing them to life. Go check it out if you are along their early screening route, or on streaming once it hits [SOON].
Saw a special screening of this with a Q&A ft. Spider One and Krsy Fox and their adorable daughter(after meeting them the previous day at the greatest fucking horror shop on the planet aka ScarePros in Levittown Pa). Honestly, Spider One asked us to give this a 4.5 or better, and he has the coolest fucking hairdo ever, and him and Krsy are fantastic people, and also this is a fantastic horror film deserving of such a rating. Amazing cinematography, innovative and gory ass kills, chilling score, beautiful practical effects, and you know the best part? A horror film that provides all of this, AND emotional depth with characters who are relatable and likeable, I was fully invested in the 2 leads for the duration of the film. Brandon Scott plays Adam to perfection, and Krsy Fox gives a powerful and emotionally driven as Kate. The chemistry, like both of their individual performances, between them is truly phenomenal. Some of their conversations are so damn true to life, and truly build the suspense and horror of this film in a way thay keeps you fully invested throughout the runtime. This film truly provided everything I'm personally looking for, in the horror genre and overall. The only thing I personally thought was missing was a flashback scene of Big Baby getting pushed in the pool as a child/ some backstory on that, which I believe will be explored in a sequel/prequel. Overall, I had a total blast with this. I am blown away at the quality of everything for a low budget independent film, we always love that. Seeing Catherine Corcoran on the big or small screen(theater/home) always adds to any film, she absolutely serves in her little but chilling and freaky as fuck screentime as Amanda, the pusher of Big Baby into the pool. The look and brutality of Big Baby are unique, fresh, and absolutely creepy. Oh, and for all you sickos with a clown fetish, there's a certain cameo that adds just a touch of ART to this movie...always a pleasure seeing that man, who doesn't love him? Oh, and a very brutal scene was filmed at Barbara Crampton's house, how badass is that? Anyway, these tremendous and super talented people are showing Big Baby across the country in many areas over the next few weeks. I highly encourage you to check if it's coming to an area near you, go invest in this project and meet some cool and genuinely kind people while doing so. Spider One and Krsy truly appreciate their fans, it shows in their projects and interactions, and my girlfriend and I have had an absolute pleasure meeting and talking with them over the past couple days. 9/10 horror film, 15/10 family 🩸🔪👶🖤
