ctrl LIVE: Pinholes, Fluturi pe Asfalt, Nava Mamă
On November 20, join us at Control to celebrate _the last end of the world_ — a special concert bringing together all band members for a rare set of haunting songs long left unheard. Three bands. One concept. Over two hours of pure, cathartic music. Pinholes is an alternative rock band formed in Iași in 2011, united by a shared obsession with their Moldavian roots and Eastern European aesthetics. For over ten years, they’ve been touring the country far and wide, convincing people that you can dance to sad music with your eyes closed. Drawn to metaphors and embracing their dramatic side, Pinholes seek to find the balance between alternative rock, post-rock, post-punk, and the spirits of Alexandru Andrieș, Marin Sorescu, and Negură Bunget. A project born by chance in 2014, Nava Mamă was never meant to function as a “normal” band. The group’s infectious popularity is balanced by its absence from the national touring circuit — you could say that when certain planets align, the lucky ones are blessed by the love of the Ship. The planets will align again in 2025. NM’s songs are the result of extended, undefined jam sessions — catastrophic structures that somehow work together, balanced by lyrics flowing from an open wound. But…
