Nik Bärtsch Ronin
The special pianist and composer Nik Bärtsch returns to LantarenVenster with his group Ronin. With Ronin, Bärtsch has made nine albums, including six on the ECM label. Known as "the scientist of groove," the Swiss artist's music is characterized by repetition, reduction, and interlocking rhythms. His 'zen-funk' quintet focuses on the combination of music and physical movement, creating a unique sound where body and soul come together.
