Los Angeles-based duo Sam Gendel and Sam Wilkes bring their collaborative and experimental jazz-adjacent music to Union Chapel as part of the EFG London Jazz Festival. Gendel, a saxophonist and wind controller specialist, has collaborated with artists ranging from Ry Cooder to Moses Sumney. Wilkes is a bassist and composer focused on genre fusion and rhythm, known for his work with Chaka Khan and Louis Cole. Together, they create an understated and exploratory musical experience built on years of shared creative language. The evening also features pre-show dinner options at the Margins Cafe, supporting the Margins Project for homelessness and crisis support.
