Dobranotch is an internationally recognized klezmer band, now based in Germany and originally from Saint Petersburg, Russia. For over 25 years, the band has been a driving force in the klezmer revival movement, bringing fresh energy and authenticity to this rich musical tradition. The sound of Dobranotch is a vibrant fusion of klezmer with Russian, Roma, Ukrainian and Caucasian folk music styles - infused with contemporary rhythms, but always rooted in the raw, acoustic spirit of a traditional klezmer wedding orchestra. With performances in over 20 countries and 11 albums released, Dobranotch has earned a worldwide reputation. Their music has been used in films, documentaries and television productions, and they have been honored with several prestigious awards, including: Eiserner Eversteiner (Folkherbst winner) - Audience Award German Record Critics' Award - Best Folk Album Russian World Music Award - Best World Music Project On the stage of a philharmonic hall, Dobranotch inspire as subtle artists; in clubs and at festivals, they sweep the audience into an ecstatic dance frenzy. Off stage, they become the soundtrack to a magical carnival. In 2022, after the Russian invasion of Ukraine, the members of Dobranotch made the difficult decision to leave Russia. Since then, they have regrouped in Germany, with an international line-up, and continue their musical journey.
