A nostalgic, slow-burn classical night.
Sonia Wieder-Atherton and Clément Cogitore present a musical narrative that explores themes of memory and presence. Inspired by the Soviet-era notebooks of cellist Natalia Shakhovskaya, whom Wieder-Atherton studied with in Moscow during the 1980s, the performance weaves together music, words, and video. This polyphonic work combines archive and fictional footage with the live performance of cello and voice, creating an intense inner journey that reflects on life behind the Iron Curtain.
