Meredith Monk: Indra’s Net
An underground, raw minimalism night.
One of the most unique and influential artists of our time, composer and singer Meredith Monk presents her latest creation, Indra’s Net. This immersive work blends performance and installation, inspired by the ancient Buddhist/Hindu parable of life's interconnectedness. Following its initial performance in 2021 and a North American premiere in 2024, this monumental production receives its highly anticipated West Coast premiere at the Walt Disney Concert Hall. Together with her Vocal Ensemble and the new-music group Wild Up, Monk creates an interplay of music, movement, and architecture, utilizing sound and video to embody celestial and human realms. The performance is presented without an intermission.
