World-renowned countertenor John Holiday presents a program based on his first full-length solo album, Over My Head. This performance offers an intimate look into Holiday's personal musical inspirations, featuring a diverse repertoire that spans spirituals, standards, and song cycles. The program includes works by Robert L. Morris, H. Leslie Adams, and Theo Morrison, as well as the first-ever recordings of songs by Carlos Simon, showcasing the vocalist's broad musical palate and vocal talents. Part of the Pentatone 25th Anniversary Festival.
