A raw blues night.
The January Blues Festival celebrates its 10th anniversary with the return of bluesman Eric Bibb. With a career spanning five decades, three Grammy nominations, and over forty albums, Bibb is a legendary figure in the blues and roots genre. Born into a lineage of activism, he was influenced by the Greenwich Village folk scene and luminaries like Bob Dylan and Taj Mahal. His music seamlessly blends folk and blues traditions with contemporary sensibilities, reflecting his thoughts on world events and lived experiences. His 2024 album, In The Real World, was recorded at Peter Gabriel's studios to critical acclaim. Bibb remains a storyteller and philosopher, offering uplifting and inspirational music that defies categorization.
