Established in 1978 in Fullerton, California, Social Distortion is a foundational punk rock band that evolved from raw, stripped-down energy into a distinctive sound blending punk with country outlaw and rockabilly influences. Fronted by Mike Ness, the group became a staple of the punk canon with early releases like 'Mommy's Little Monster' before finding major commercial success with albums such as 'Somewhere Between Heaven and Hell' and 'White Light, White Heat, White Trash'. Over their decades-long career, they have consistently bridged the gap between rebellious punk and American roots music.
