An underground jazz night.
With his third album as a leader, Roots and Things, bassist and composer Jakob Dreyer opens a new chapter in his artistic journey. Based in New York since 2014, he unveils a project driven by communicative energy and a taste for swing. Dreyer brings together a remarkable quartet featuring vibraphonist Sasha Berliner, tenor saxophonist Tivon Pennicott, and drummer Kenneth Salters to perform 15 original compositions and a refreshed cover. This musical journey alternates between energetic tracks, catchy grooves, and contemplative ballads, with the vibraphone adding a luminous and singular color that distinguishes the album from his previous works.
