Sächsische Staatskapelle Dresden & Daniele Gatti at Paris Philharmonic
A nostalgic, raw classical night.
Daniele Gatti leads the Sächsische Staatskapelle Dresden in a performance of Gustav Mahler's Symphony No. 10. Left unfinished at the time of the composer's death in 1911, the work is performed here in the completion by musicologist Deryck Cooke. Gatti, who became the principal conductor of the Staatskapelle Dresden in the 2024-2025 season, continues his exploration of Mahler's symphonic cycle with this profound work. Having regularly conducted this repertoire with the Orchestre National de France, the conductor brings deep expertise to this interpretation of Mahler's final sketches.
