Jazz Thursdays w/ Erik Verwey Trio

Jazz lovers, unite. Join us every Thursday for a free live jazz session in our lobby. Grab a drink, take a seat, and unwind from a hard day’s work during Jazz Thursdays at Werkplaats. Each edition, we welcome fabulous jazz musicians. Whether it’s the renowned Amsterdam Jazz Trio (Jochem Braat on piano, Tijn Jans on drums, and Adrie Braat on double bass), intimate duos, or special guests ranging from saxophonists to jazz singers and vibraphonists – expect an evening filled with top-tier jazz. The Erik Verwey Trio is a dynamic jazz piano trio from Amsterdam. The sound of the trio is a mixture of fresh, rhythmic playing with traditional jazz ingredients and a lot of influences from classical music, film scores and songs. They released two albums in 2020 People Flow and 2023 About a Home, both albums received rave international reviews. Tonight they will play with the great Sven Rozier on drums.
