The Last International Playboys and Jon Voyager Live at HolyWood Stage Athens

Jon Voyager: Μετά από είκοσι χρόνια μουσικής πορείας ως solo act, τραγουδιστής των progsters Need και των party bands Bejeezus και Yakuza Six, ο Jon Voyager κυκλοφόρησε το 2023 το ντεμπούτο του με τίτλο Monsters (One Little Victory Records). Μέσα στα οκτώ τραγούδια του άλμπουμ χώρεσε ό,τι δεν είχε βρει την θέση του μέχρι τώρα, συστήνοντας στο κοινό μια διαφορετική πλευρά του μουσικού εαυτού του από αυτήν που μέχρι τότε τον είχε συνηθίσει. Παίρνοντας απόσταση από τον βαρύ μεταλλικό ήχο, ξεδίπλωσε τις πιο εναλλακτικές πτυχές του, μπολιάζοντας alternative rock αισθητική με ταξιδιάρικες συνθέσεις, στίχους για τις σχέσεις και τα μυστικά της πόλης με λίγο urban ρομαντισμό, και groove ποτισμένο με αλκοόλ και αναμνήσεις. The Last International Playboys: The Last International Playboys formed in Athens, Greece over a decade ago, amidst the economic crisis that overwhelmed the country. In contrast to the zeitgeist, the members of the band found common ground, not in anger, but in elegance. Their introduction to the music audience took place in the summer of 2015 with the release of their digital E.P. Foreplay, under the Sound Of Everything label. That forerunner of their full album included four songs. Their refined, fresh, clean but at the same side introvert indie-alternative sound created a bittersweet atmosphere, reminiscent of an elegant film noir. Their first full album Who shot Roy? features ten tracks, blending a wide spectrum of sounds and emotions. A journey from haunting introversion to hopeful joy.
