Darren Kiely, afkomstig uit County Cork in Ierland, vindt zijn frisse, folk-geïnspireerde sound in zijn geërfde liefde voor traditionele Ierse muziek, vermengd met moderne invloeden van artiesten als The Lumineers, Mumford & Sons en Noah Kahan. Darren leerde op jonge leeftijd de tin whistle en viool spelen voordat hij zichzelf gitaar leerde. Zijn debuut EP ‘Lost’ en de opvolger ‘From The Dark’ onderzoeken thema's als zelfvertwijfel, volwassen worden en persoonlijke groei.
