Ο ήχος τους είναι ένας συνδυασμός Γερμανικού New Wave, Indie και Dark Disco πάνω σε έναν δυναμικό μπάσο παλμό. Ο Alexander Cowan (DJ Kirby) στην παραγωγή και την κιθάρα και η Eddie Rabenberger στα φωνητικά - γερμανικά και αγγλικά - γράφουν τραγούδια για τον έρωτα, την κατάθλιψη και τη γρήγορη ζωή της πόλης. In its seventh gathering, the Nowa Atena collective presents- for the first time in Athens- two of the most fierce acts from Berlin’s emerging post-punk scene. Das Beat formed in 2021 in Berlin. Their sound is a blend of German New Wave, Indie, and Dark Disco over a driving, bass-heavy pulse — the “das beat.” Alexander Cowan (DJ Kirby) on production, and Eddie Rabenberger on vocals - in German and English - craft songs exploring love, depression, casual dating and the fast-paced life of the city. Explosively energetic, Das Beat invite us to a dance on the edge of the timeline. Isolationsgemeinschaft (I.G.), with their strikingly contradictory name, emerge from Berlin’s post-punk underground scene. Jan and Christoph capture the fractured reality of the present through dark synths, chugging drum machines, bass, monotone vocals, and sharp lyrics, forging a raw sound that is often intensely danceable, drawing from the early German electronic post-punk scene of the 80s (DAF, Die Gesunden, Lunapark, Gleitzeit).
