Originally formed by Sue Mingus, this 14-piece ensemble showcases large-band arrangements of Mingus' complex compositions, maintaining the spontaneity and creative spirit of his Jazz Workshop. The group draws from New York City's top musicians, earning multiple GRAMMY nominations and a win for Live at Jazz Standard. Their performances are part of the long-standing Mingus Mondays residency at The Pocket, offering a deep exploration of the legendary composer's evolving musical legacy.
