1001 Nights by Vessbroz: A Captivating Fusion of Cultures and Sounds at ADE Summary: "1001 Nights by Vessbroz" is a distinctive Middle Eastern-themed event set to take place at Club Leidse on Friday, October 18, 2024, from 22:00 to 05:00, during the Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE). This event will fuse Western and Middle Eastern music to create a unique and extraordinary experience. Beyond the celebration, it aims to raise awareness about the challenges refugees face, particularly in the music and art industry, highlighting their limited opportunities. Background and Motivation: As Vessbroz, we have a personal connection to this cause—we were refugees who sought asylum in the Netherlands, lived in refugee camps, and built our careers from the ground up to become internationally recognized artists. Our journey inspired us to create this event to motivate other refugees to pursue their dreams, especially in the music and art sectors. Coming from a background where music and art, particularly for women, were restricted or even criminalized, we want to use this event as a platform for change. Event Description: "1001 Nights by Vessbroz" will be both a cultural celebration and a statement of resilience and creativity. The music will blend Western dance beats with Middle Eastern sounds, offering a distinctive experience that bridges cultures. The venue will be transformed into a Middle Eastern fantasy setting, reminiscent of the "1001 Nights" tales, featuring intricate decorations, art installations, and immersive experiences.
