A special & epic night in the make! Our friends from Rebetiko Against the Machine team up with Thrax Punks for a eclectic palette of Greek music and energy ★ **Thrax Punks** started playing music from 2008 when **George Stavridis** and **Vaitsis Charakopidis** met each other after they played in gigs, such as weddings, traditional festivals and customs, many music festivals, even in protests on the road! Living on the era of actually “no genre” and influenced by many styles of music with the Greek underground punk scene to be the key to their relationship back then, they continued to adopt several elements on their music. In the autumn of 2015 they met **Panos Gkinis** during a jamming concert, where he joined the band. After they played together in many gigs around Greece, they decided to record their first live demo album called “ΠΑΝΚΟΠΑΝΗΓΥΡΟΨΥΧΕΔΕΛΕΙΑ” (punk mixed with fete Thracian party music and psychedelic music). ★ **Rebetiko Against the Machine w**ith their united passion for Rebetiko these musicians infusing new paths with a rock sensibility in their original repertoire. Their folk-traditional repertoire and influences are rooted in the pivotal era of the 30s to 50s, a period marked by the hardships of two World Wars, profoundly impacting the working class. The needs, perspectives, emotions, and beliefs of that time are reflected on the Rebetiko genre. Today, the band strives to uphold these intimate and historical elements of Rebetiko while infusing their own experiences and perspectives into their lyrics and Original compositions.
