SOYUZ (СОЮЗ)
The Minsk-based collective SOYUZ, founded by Alex Chumak and Mikita Arlou, brings their unique blend of jazz, soul, folk, and psychedelic pop to BIRD Rotterdam. Now based in Warsaw, the group's sound is a product of constant movement and collaboration. Following their international breakthrough with 'Force of the Wind,' which earned acclaim from KEXP and BBC Radio 6, they continue their exploration with 'KROK.' Recorded across São Paulo, Stockholm, and Warsaw, their latest work merges folk ballads with jazz influences into complex, multilingual compositions exploring themes of identity and transition.
