An underground free jazz night.
In advance of the midterm elections, composer Carla Kihlstedt and poet Rafael Osés present X Amendments, an improvised sonic structure for voices, electric guitars, and audience participation. Using the Bill of Rights as source material, the performance explores individual and collective freedoms, rights, responsibilities, and restrictions.
