Behind the name stands Amsterdam-based Donald Donny Madjid, also known as a member of The Mauskovic Dance Band. Written and fully recorded in a modest seaside apartment on the Dutch coast, Klassiek Gedonder is an unpolished break-up record driven by the legendary Roland TR-808 and a carefully curated arsenal of analog synths. The result is warm and deeply human. Like a turbulent day by the sea, the album moves through love, doubt, hope, and quiet political tension—personal, painfully honest, and drenched in the sentimentality that defines Donald’s songwriting. Every sound is crafted with intention, shaping the organic pulse of what’s now affectionately called the West Coast Sound: Zandvoort Nedersoul. In Berlin, Don Melody Club will transform this intimate record into a live experience: groove-heavy, heartfelt, and alive with coastal electricity. Special guest: Chicos de Nazca is a neo-psychedelic band from Santiago de Chile, based in Berlin, formed in 2010.
