Dimitri's Bats, Hayes & Y

On October 8th, Dimitri' s Bats & Hayes & Y concert is happening at Expirat, Halele Carol. Indie & alternative and an event not to be missed. Dimitri' s Bats are a fresh arrival on the Romanian alternative-pop scene, constantly blurring the boundaries between eclectic rhythms and alternative riffs. Dimitri' s Bats have played at festivals such as Summer Well (RO), Electric Castle (RO), Juwenalia PW (PL), Tallinn Music Week (EE), BuSH (HU) and shared the stage with artists such as The 1975 (UK), Son Lux (US) and Daria Zawiałow (PL). Known for their dynamic live shows, the band continues to expand their presence on the Romanian and European scene, with important festivals in 2025 - INmusic Festival (Croatia), Sziget Festival (Hungary), Pro Weekend Festival (Spain), Electric Castle, Focus in the Park Sibiu, etc. This year, Dimitri's Bats were also named one of the "100 Artists to Watch in 2025" by IMPALA, the European association of independent music companies, recognizing their impact on the alternative-pop landscape. Hayes & Y is an indie band from Sofia, Bulgaria, formed by Blago, Ivo and Rado since high school. In 2016 they moved to the UK, where they were joined by Finnish drummer Dennis Hallback, completing an international mix that has taken them to European stages and earned them airplay on BBC 6 Music, BBC Manchester and KEXP. This unusual Bulgarian-Finnish combination has steadily grown in strength and visibility – the band has been featured on BBC 6 Music, BBC Manchester, KEXP and selected for the prestigious ESNS. 2022 was a major year for Hayes & Y: in August they were part of the lineup of the Summer Well festival in Romania, alongside Arctic Monkeys, Jungle and Nothing But Thieves. In October they released their debut album, and on December 1 they played their biggest concert to date, on the stage of the National Palace of Culture in Sofia. In 2023 they took to the stage of Burgas Summer Live, in a small lineup, alongside Nothing But Thieves and Franz Ferdinand. In 2024 they expanded their international presence, playing at Electric Castle in Romania, 50 Lab in Belgium and PIN in Macedonia. And in 2025, Hayes & Y will take to the stages of Primavera in Barcelona and InMusic in Croatia.
