Francamente
Francamente is a Turin-based project that blends singer-songwriter and electronic music, having moved first to Berlin and then Milan. Queerness and activism are at the heart of its musical production. Her first two songs, 'Contaminazone' and 'Bombe in Colombe,' were released in 2020. Since 2021, she has been part of 'Canta Fino a Dieci,' a transfeminist collective aiming to bridge the gender gap in the music industry. Her years in Germany were spent researching alongside producer Tomer Levy and making music on the streets as a way to physically occupy space and treat art as an accessible profession. Influenced by electronic music, techno, and 1980s cold wave, her songs recount the daily life of the provinces and what is considered to be on the margins.
