The return is real: Sandwell District are back in full force with their long-awaited album End Beginnings (released March 28, 2025) — their first original LP in over a decade. Built in the shadow of loss (the passing of Juan Mendez, aka Silent Servant) and rebirth, this record weaves together spectral atmospheres, acid-laced bursts, and raw motoric thrust. Their tour isn’t broad — it’s selective. It’s about presence, not ubiquity. Joining them: Wata Igarashi — a Japanese techno visionary whose sound rides the edge between structure and dream. He’s known for crystalline details, shimmering psychedelia, and deeply felt control of space and energy. In studios, he folds ambient textures, modular nuance, jazz sensibility — on stage, those hallmarks manifest in waves of tension and release.
