Bismarckstraße 35, 10627 Berlin-Bezirk Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf
A jazz-infused and scientific excursion into our cosmos based on Jean-Luc Lehners' book 'The Beginning of Space and Time'. This 'Tour de Science' presents facts about the Big Bang, the speed of light, and quantum theory in both a profound and amusing way. Musicians from the BigBand of the Deutsche Oper Berlin collaborate with the renowned physicist and mathematician Jean-Luc Lehners for this world premiere. For over ten years, the Jazz & Lyrics series by the BigBand of the Deutsche Oper Berlin has stood for special musical encounters in an intimate setting. Each concert combines jazz with lyricism, poetry, or biographical insights into great composers and jazz legends. The series is curated and presented by BigBand members Rüdiger Ruppert, Sebastian Krol, and Guntram Halder. Following the performance, guests can meet the artists in the Artists' Lounge.
