Fun Loving Fridays - Discotéka Tropicál
Fun Loving Fridays Diskotéka Tropicál Αn exotic, eclectic & retro dance ritual for the discerning clubber Rogues and romantics, femme fatales and wanderers, dancefloor freaks, disco queens, angels, and beautiful nocturnals of the city: Friday is the new Saturday! We kick off at 8 pm with food, drinks and dancing. We socialise, party — and still have the entire weekend ahead of us. Get to the club early and enjoy the signature juicy burgers or the Asian fusion selections at the Ghost Sake Bar, served both at the front and in the back rooms, where a mysterious speakeasy experience awaits. Settle into a night where comfort food meets a hidden speakeasy sake bar, wrapped in mirrors, disco balls and a finely tuned sound system. Expect carefully curated selections from the Athenian eclectica — music that travels across time and borders Your dancefloor curators: Palov (Carnibal Records) Palov is a producer and DJ whose sound bridges dusty global references with contemporary electronic craftsmanship. As a core member of Cast A Blast, he contributed to a wave of outward-looking, genre-blending productions moving between Balkan brass, funk, hip-hop and Mediterranean psychedelia. He co-founded Carnival Records, releasing rhythm-driven music infused with analog warmth and cross-border dancefloor energy. His DJ sets sway through tropical bass, latin soul, afro-disco and sun-drenched edits, building narratives that feel archival yet unmistakably modern and deeply danceable. He has shared the booth with Quantic, Bonobo, Nickodemus, Lack of Afro, Jon Kennedy, Mo’Horizons and Rob Luis, among others. Roubini Stagouraki (Roubi Roubi Roubi) DJ and radio producer at Kosmos 93.6, Roubi has helped shape Athens’ cosmopolitan radio identity. A cartographer of the global music landscape, she approaches the dancefloor with a refined curatorial perspective, blending world electronica, downtempo rhythms, Mediterranean textures, leftfield pop and deep, sun-kissed grooves into sets that emphasize atmosphere, storytelling and emotional lift. She weaves global rhythms with elegance and subtle tension, creating spaces that move between club mysticism and the warmth of immersive listening. Miss Catalina Miss Catalina is a true music traveller with years behind the decks of iconic Athenian spots such as Small8, Tranzistor, Buba and Mai Tai, steadily building her reputation through unpredictable yet seamlessly cohesive sets.
