A nostalgic, raw requiem night.
Niemand minder dan Bach maakte rond 1705 een voettocht van 300 kilometer om in Lübeck Dietrich Buxtehude op het orgel te horen spelen. Buxtehude oogstte in zijn tijd veel bewondering en zijn muziek ontroert nog immer. Het Zwitserse Voces Suaves plaatst zijn meesterwerk _Membra Jesu Nostri_ op de lessenaar: zeven indringende cantates die handelen over verschillende delen van het lichaam van de lijdende, stervende Christus. Het fijnbesnaarde ensemble Gli Incogniti, met de Franse barokvioliste Amandine Beyer aan de leiding, staat Voces Suaves bij. Zij laten horen dat Buxtehude ook in zijn puur instrumentale muziek een grootmeester was. Dit concert volgt, veelzeggend, al snel op het debuut van Voces Suaves in het Muziekgebouw in oktober 2024.
