Derya Yıldırım & Grup Şimşek are returning to Melkweg. After enchanting the audience at the sold-out first edition of Kaynaş Club in 2024, the group is back—this time in our OZ—with their new album 'Yarın Yoksa'. The Hamburg-raised multi-instrumentalist Derya Yıldırım learned to play the bağlama—a seven-stringed Turkish lute—from her father. Together with the international collective Grup Şimşek, she released 'Yarın Yoksa' this year (loosely translated: If There’s No Tomorrow). With this record, Derya continues her mission to breathe new life into Anatolian folk music and instruments, weaving timeless melodies into a modern psychedelic flow. The album strikes a delicate balance between preservation and innovation, featuring nine original compositions and three traditional folk songs.
