‘Hartverwarmender dan dit zijn kerstconcerten zelden’ schreef NRC over deze inmiddels traditionele familievoorstelling. 350 leerlingen van de zangopleiding Nieuw Vocaal Amsterdam treden op met Holland Baroque onder leiding van dirigent Leonard Evers. Een verteller in de rol van Maria blikt terug op belangrijke dagen uit haar leven, begeleid door Oud-Nederlandse kerstmuziek van de middeleeuwen tot de barok. De voorstelling bevat arrangementen van Ton Koopman van klassieke liederen zoals 'Nu syt wellecome'.
