An underground, nostalgic classical night.
Young Viennese pianist Lukas Sternath, winner of the 2022 ARD International Music Competition and designated ECHO Rising Star, makes his recital debut at the Théâtre des Champs-Élysées. The programme features a journey through Italy via Franz Liszt's Années de pèlerinage, Deuxième année, Italie, S 161. Composed between 1838 and 1849, this set of seven pieces translates Liszt's impressions of Italian poetry, painting, and sculpture, concluding with the famous Dante Sonata.
