Rana Santacruz is a Mexican native living in Brooklyn who is redefining the sound of Mexican American music. His unique style, often described as "Mexican Bluegrass" or "Irish Mariachi," blends influences from Ireland, Appalachia, New Orleans, and Mexico. His songs evoke the magical realism of Gabriel Garcia Marquez, telling stories of funerals and loyal dogs. The performance features a full band with upright bass, banjo, accordion, violin, trumpets, and clarinet.
