Composer and multi-instrumentalist Oscar Noriega returns with his Crooked Quartet, focusing on alto saxophone and clarinets. The performances maintain the casual atmosphere of his previous trios, featuring a blend of standards and original compositions. Noriega is a prominent figure in the New York jazz scene, known for his work with Tim Berne’s Snakeoil, Endangered Blood, and Boss Tenor, as well as co-leading the brass band Banda De Los Muertos.
