Quatuor Ébène concludes its exploration of Ludwig van Beethoven’s string quartet cycle. This performance pairs the forward-looking Op. 18 No. 6 with the intensity of the String Quartet in A minor, Op. 132. The latter work, known for its confessional intimacy, explores existential themes and serves as a testament to the resilience of the human spirit. This concert follows the ensemble's launch of their Beethoven series at Wigmore Hall last season.
