SOMA
An underground, gritty experimental night.
Herzbergstraße 55, 10365 Berlin-Bezirk Lichtenberg
Inspired by Aldous Huxley's Brave New World, SOMA explores the concept of happiness as anaesthesia. For two weeks, the event takes over Kunstfabrik HB55, a former margarine factory in Berlin-Lichtenberg. The program features a temporary art gallery in one hall, showcasing graphics, photography, sculpture, and installations. The second hall hosts a live performance festival across two weekends, transitioning from anaesthesia through distortion to awakening. The project, conceived by Eric Oder, merges dystopian literature with contemporary artistic expression through exhibitions, live music, and workshops.
