The concert also includes music from his celebrated collaborations with director Takeshi Kitano, such as Hana-bi and Kids Return. This performance marks a first as Hisaishi conducts the Concertgebouworkest himself, appearing as both conductor and pianist for an enchanting live experience of his iconic cinematic works.
