The Interpretations Series continues its 37th season at Roulette featuring two distinct sets. The evening begins with a solo performance by pianist Ursel Schlicht, followed by a set from the jazz trio Critical Response. Critical Response features Jason Kao Hwang on violin and viola, Anders Nilsson on guitar, and Michael T.A. Thompson on drums and percussion. The Interpretations series is a New York-based concert series that has focused on the relationship between contemporary composers and their interpreters since 1989. The series often features performers who specialize in the interpretation of new music and has hosted many leading figures in contemporary music and multimedia over its long history.
