50 Jahre Monokel – Das Jubiläumskonzert 2026
A nostalgic, homegrown blues night.
Monokel enjoys cult status, especially in East Germany, and became a medium of identification for a whole generation of dissenters. Alongside Engerling and Kerth, Monokel is one of the longest-serving blues bands in the former GDR. In 2026, the band celebrates its 50th anniversary with a major concert at Berlin's Kesselhaus. Musicians and companions from five decades will perform together in a unique, cross-generational lineup. Expect classic evergreens like 'Der Kindertraum' and 'Bye Bye Lübben City' in an evening celebrating five decades of music history.
