Her 2013 debut mixtape, "Cut 4 Me," received widespread critical acclaim and caught the attention of major artists like Björk and Solange Knowles. Known for her esoteric approach and collaborations with influential labels like Fade To Mind and Night Slugs, Kelela continues to be one of the most innovative artists in the contemporary music scene.
