The musical collaboration “Tomorrow Comes The Harvest” was formed by Nigerian drummer Tony Allen – one of the pioneers of Afrobeat – and Detroit techno legend Jeff Mills. Along with producer Jean-Phi Dary, the trio found common ground in a tradition that sees music as a means of spiritual upliftment, touring around the world until Tony Allen’s death in 2020. However, the foundations of the idea had already been laid. With the addition of flutist Rasheeda Ali, the venture has now entered a new chapter. In every performance by Tomorrow Comes The Harvest, improvisation becomes a tool for exploring the unknown, transcending sonic boundaries, and crossing rhythms that lead to an experience beyond the ordinary.
