Barbatuquices is an interactive body music performance designed for families. Audiences join members of the Brazilian group Barbatuques for musical games that explore the body as a sonic instrument through clapping, snapping, and rhythmic footbeats. The show features a mix of traditional Brazilian repertoire and original music from the group, creating a playful immersion into sound for children, parents, and educators alike. Founded by Fernando Barba, Barbatuques is a pioneering percussion group from São Paulo that specializes in body percussion and vocal music. They blend traditional Brazilian rhythms with contemporary electronic styles and beatboxing. Known globally for their innovative 'body orchestra' approach, the group has performed in over 30 countries and contributed to major projects like the Rio 2016 Olympics Closing Ceremony and the Rio 2 movie soundtrack.
